Members of the National Assembly for Wales (AMs) now have the opportunity to table amendments to the Recovery of Medical Costs for Asbestos Diseases (Wales) Bill, as the Bill moves onto the next stage.

The Bill, which will allow the NHS in Wales to recover the costs incurred by treating a sufferer of an asbestos-related disease from a liable defendant, has been the subject of further scrutiny by members of the Health and Social Care Committee. Members of the committee agreed to an amendment which would require Welsh ministers to report annually to the National Assembly for Wales on the use of the money which has been recovered.
